Alphabet awarded ‘BVRLA Hero’ for third year in a row

Leasing and mobility specialists Alphabet (GB) Limited is today celebrating the success of Rachael Dean, Performance Specialist for the Farnborough-based company’s Indirect Sales Channel, being recognised one of the British Vehicle Rental & Leasing Association’s ‘BVRLA Heroes’ for 2020. This is the third year in succession that an Alphabet employee has received this industry accolade, being recognised as one of the outstanding individuals working in the vehicle leasing and rental sector today.
The BVRLA Hero awards, announced at the BVRLA Annual Dinner in London, is the leasing and rental industry’s evening of appreciation for those stand-out individuals in the sector who may not usually enjoy the limelight but have gone above and beyond during the past twelve months. Rachael Dean, Performance Specialist for Alphabet’s Indirect Sales Channels was one of two industry professionals recognised this year by the BVRLA as an industry ‘Hero’ and received her award from Nina Bell, BVRLA Chairwoman and Gerry Keaney, BVRLA Chief Executive.
Keaney commented: “Our awards recognise some of the Industry Heroes who have turned in exceptional performances in their respective fields and made an extraordinary contribution to their organisations. Our winner from Alphabet is a passionate advocate of teamwork in customer service.”
Rachael Dean has been with Alphabet (GB) Limited for almost six years and in her current ‘Performance Specialist’ role for 24 months. Rachael manages, coaches and develops a team of 16 Sales Executives working across 6 different business channels and routes-to-market – including Retailers, Brokers, Agency Funding and Fleet Management companies. The fleet industry is a highly-regulated financial business which is increasingly closer to Retail finance in its approach, customer expectations and experience. So Rachael and her team are absolutely vital to Alphabet’s success in this area.
Dean was nominated by Gavin Davies, General Manager for Indirect Sales at Alphabet, who commented: “We’re thrilled because Rachael is a legend in the Indirect Sales area of the business. She manages her team’s workload and finds efficiencies in fast-paced, high volume, highly-regulated business area in an agile and collaborative way. She identifies and develops talents in the team, cross-training skills and experience for enhanced employee and team satisfaction, as well as improved customer service.
Rachael’s team have some of the highest customer satisfaction scores in our business. Rachael has set the standard within Alphabet for bringing our LIMITLESS Programme to life, which has become a best practice example of how to get the best out of a team, enable each individual to develop in their own way and remain totally focused on service delivery and the customer’s requirements.”
