10+ years of Sodexo & Alphabet: this is where we are now

Sodexo, a company that specialises in fringe benefits, came to us many years ago looking for support with… a fringe benefit. 

Today, we’re proud to say that we’ve been Sodexo’s fleet partner and advisor for well over 10 years already. But how does Sodexo view our partnership? We asked their Fleet Coordinator, Nathalie Antoine.

 

A big partner…

“At Sodexo, we currently work with three leasing companies, including Alphabet. We do this to give our employees multiple options and to find the best possible leasing deals ourselves. 

So when we put out a request for a new lease vehicle, we send it to all three companies. And usually Alphabet's offer comes out on top. 

More than half of the contracts for the nearly 800 vehicles in our fleet are with Alphabet. From cars to commercial vehicles to electric bikes, Alphabet is by far our biggest partner.”

 

…that takes care of everything… 

“One of the main advantages of working with Alphabet is that they offer a complete package. From vehicles to flexible solutions like Alphabet Rent and other useful services like roadside assistance, tire management and insurance management: Alphabet really takes care of everything.

Also, if I want to check or make changes to the leasing contracts, I can easily do it myself using the Fleet Agent online platform. I have to admit that I don't use the platform as much as I would like, but I know what it can do and how to use it properly.

In addition, our drivers are also very happy with Alphabet and the Alphabet driver app. They can use it to check their insurance cards, request parking permits and ask for help if they need it, among other things.

For example, I have already had drivers come up to me and say how content they were with the roadside assistance they received when they had a breakdown. When they requested assistance through the Alphabet app, help arrived within half an hour. Frankly, I have only heard positive things from our drivers.”

 

…without losing sight of the little things.

"I myself have been in my role as Fleet Coordinator for about two years now and working with Alphabet has been really great. The communication with my contact person is very good. The same goes for the other teams I am in contact with, such as Tyreline and Insurance. I feel like I know everyone really well.

I always get a quick answer or update when Alphabet needs to look something up. I don't have to wait for an update or ask five times for an answer. Even when the people I communicate with have very busy agendas, they always take the time to schedule a call and listen to my questions.

My contact even suggested that we have a regular meeting every two weeks to go through our files. Thanks to this approach, we both have a good overview at all times and I am better able to spot opportunities to make adjustments.

The fact that we can make adjustments is also an advantage, by the way. We are not tied to  unchangeable contracts. If we suggest something or want something different, Alphabet always looks at the possibilities.
